How to Choose the Right Bass Fishing Lures to Catch That Big Bass Fish
My uncle and I have this ongoing competition between us. You should see him! When he catches more fish than me, he struts around for a week straight and reminds me about it every time he sees me. And then he asks over and over, "So, how many fish have you caught lately?"
He likes to use plastic worms as his bass fishing lures; he says they can't be beat. Okay, so he knows what he's talking about most of the time, and he's proven that to me on occasion. When I'm sitting around with my bucket empty, and he's hauling in a monstrous bass, I could just push him overboard.
However, I really out-did him on our last trip when we were fishing for bass. I was pulling them in right and left, and he was scowling at me the whole time!
So how did I do it? Well, I use crankbait as my bass fishing lures. These look like little baitfish or crawfish, and it's like a juicy steak to a bass fish. They work in most kinds of water, and they are effective fishing lures to add to your arsenal.
As a backup, I used spinnerbaits. These little guys look like baitfish, and they are great for catching bass quickly, and catching larger ones. They come in many different colors, and are great for most waters.
I pulled in so much bass that day, we had more than enough to eat like kings that evening and still have some left over for breakfast. I consoled my uncle by telling him he could use his fish as the appetizer. I must say I'm getting the hang of this fishing thing. But I still need my own story about the big one that got away!
