Home Remedies for Getting Rid of Acne Scars and Blemishes

For this natural remedy, grate a clove of garlic and add two tablespoons of water to form a paste. Massage the paste directly to the effected area. The garlic exfoliates the skin and removes a layer of scar tissue, so don't let it set for more than 5 minutes.
Because of the garlic's irritating properties, always apply aloe vera directly to the affected area right after you have rinsed off the paste. The aloe vera will hydrate your skin and provide protection without further irritation.
Lemons and Tomatoes
Both lemons and tomatoes are fruits that are high in citric acid which has excellent properties for cleaning and rejuvenating the skin. They have been used for years in natural skin treatments. Due to their high Vitamin A content, tomatoes in particular reduce the production of sebum.
You will need only one tablespoon of lemon juice for this home remedy. Using a cotton ball, apply the lemon juice directly to the affected area. Leave it on for about ten minutes and clean the area with a mild cleanser.
Tomato juice can be also be applied directly to the skin with a cotton ball. Remember to rinse after 10 minutes.
It is advisable to used fresh natural products. Canned products contain preservatives and additives that my cause side effects and reduce the effect of the natural components.
